Where is the the Porter's Lodge and when is it open?
The Lodge is open 24hrs a day and is located at the main entrance to the College. Guests are always asked to report to the Lodge when visiting College.
Does the college have car parking?
Unfortunately, the College does not have its own car park, although car parking for the conference organiser and any disabled guests can be made available by prior arrangement. Vehicles may also be brought in temporarily to deliver equipment. There are several city centre parking areas nearby, and Oxford also has a number of park-and-ride services. What is the booking procedure?
Confirmation of an event requires a completed booking form (which includes acceptances of our terms and conditions) along with a deposit payment. After the event, the remaining cost will be invoiced within 30 days. You can download our Agreement for Events and Other Services, which includes our full terms and conditions, below.
What is included in the venue hire?
The venue hire fees cover the cost of hiring the room, Oriel branded pens, paper and water. It also covers the cost of AV equipment and IT Support. Room hire is exempt from VAT. All other hired items are subject to VAT.
How do I qualify for VAT exemption?
In order to qualify for a VAT exemption you need to fill in one of our VAT Declaration Eligibility forms. Once this is complete and returned to the Events team we will be able to advise if you qualify for a VAT exemption. You can download our VAT exemption form below.
When is check-in/check-out for bedrooms?
Checking in time is usually from 2pm on the day of arrival. Checking out time is 10am on the day of departure.
Is wifi available?
Whether you are attending a residential or day conference at the college wifi is offered in all bedrooms and conference rooms.
Do you have an induction hearing look system?
There is an induction hearing loop system both in the Dining Hall and in our largest conference room, the Harris Lecture Theatre. These systems have been kindly donated to the College by Dr Anthony Roe, an Orielensis.
